Benefits of Raw Almonds:  A handful of almonds not only make a healthy snack, this powerful anti-aging food elevates our skin’s beauty and resilience to wrinkles. Known as a symbol of beauty in China, the almond is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and protein. Omega-3’s supply radiance to the skin while the anti-inflammatory power of antioxidants, including vitamin E, guards the skin cells against damage. They make a tasty addition to a smoothie after an overnight soak to increase digestibility and for easier blending. The fiber in this nutritious nut will keep you satisfied all the way until lunch.  This particular smoothie can easily go green- feel free to add a cup of curly kale for bonus nutrients.

Raw Almond Smoothie Recipe Directions: 
Fill blender with…

  • 8 oz chai tea (chilled)
  • 2 oz unsweetened coconut milk
  • 3 tbs raw organic almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 1 tsp flax seed meal
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tsp raw honey

Blend ingredients until smooth and enjoy.
